We are a young, deep tech startup located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our small team of young professionals contains deep expertise and experience within digital vision systems, starting from nano-technology ASIC chip design to complete hardware system for HDR video streaming applications. For the last several years, we have been hard at work innovating and developing a new digital hi-speed CMOS image sensor with unparalleled high dynamic range. This technology is highly applicable to multiple industries and we are confident in our ability to provide value to any partner within the video capture sphere.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Our team has developed a digital hi-speed CMOS image sensor that redefines the current image sensor process. Our technology is comprised of two components, the image sensor itself and a completed platform that can render HDR video on a display.

What is unique about our technology is that its based on a multi-reset approach where we are able to adjust each pixel individually to the lighting conditions during the frame capture process. Currently our prototype only contains two exposures, but our final technology will contain four.

A perfect example of the incredible dynamic range we are able to achieve. A phone light is shone into our camera lens, but the sensor is still able to pick up all the details in the image.

Machine vision is an exciting industry with multiple sectors. From welding to self driving vehicles, new technology is being adopted to make processes simpler, quicker, and more reliable.

WiDR is uniquely positioned with our CMOS sensor to capture movement as well as provide industry leading dynamic range to generate a clear picture no matter the lighting conditions. This processing is efficient, within one frame, and provides impeccable output.

Although the mobile market itself is much higher than the above figure ($714.96B in 2020), we decided to focus on the image sensor market which is sizable nonetheless. 

The ever growing mobile industry is pushing for greater image and video capture capabilities on all devices, in fact this is one of the factors that industry players can use to differentiate their products from competitors. Our technology will enable our customers to do just that, provide better dynamic ranges, reduce power consumption for such operations, and do so at a lower price point, savings that they can carry to the end user.
